Tealight Pumpkins

I found this project on a craft sharing website. The idea was to hollow out the center top of a real small pumpkin and insert a tea-light. I changed mine to plastic covered foam pumpkins. I have no idea if mine are flame proof ~since I don't plan to light them, it doesn't matter. I bought my pumpkins on sale at Hobby Lobby, they came with the cool glitter designs. Talis picked them out. I drew a 1.5 in circle on the top after I pulled off the fake stem, with an Exacto knife I cut out the circle, removed the plastic piece, and carefully removed just enough of the inner foam to nest the tea-light inside.

Easter Egg embellished with a paper flower. I put these on string so I can hang them up. My cats love eggs, so I needed a solution where they couldn't reach. If I put them on the table, the eggs get destroyed.

I have been inspired by another book passage. The character was wearing a very pretty yellow dress and a hat with Jonquils and a chenille bird. It reminded me of Spring and my Grandpa Ted- who liked Jonquils. I am planning a small quilt piece to commemorate the passage. I also bought these pretty miniature daffodils at the grocery store. ( I have been told that Jonquils are actually called Jonquil Daffodils.)
