Tim Louie is knocking at our door and he is more then welcome :). 267 days are nearly over and during this week he will come. His mom, his sister, his brother and of course his dad are in a good mood and we all are more then happy if he comes to birth. Everything is done and ready for him - let's go Timmy, let's go!

This shot was done during our latest and absolute last baby bump session. Many thanks to my girlfriend, she was a good model during her pregnancy time.

Strobe info: 2x walimex VC-300 with 120cm OctaBox right and left for backdrop - metered to F/9. 400ws monolight with 120cm Gridded OctaBox as main light right from camera metered to F/4.
Trigger with PocketWizard miniTT1, flexTT5 and Phottix Atlas.

Camera info: Canon EOS 5D MKII with EF 24-70mm 2.8L attached and set to 1/125, F/4 and ISO100

Yesterday I did a small workshop about portrait photography. Some colleagues of mine asked me because they bought a SonyNex camera and they didn't know how to use the non full automatic programs. First lesson was two month ago, with Ivan. He prefers more landscape so we had to split the wokshop in two halfs. Aoxuan is another colleague and she was so kind to be the model for us ;-)

Another portrait from my #100 project. This is Inga and she is a very nice girl from H-Town (nick name for Hövelhof) where I live. She helped me during my October challenge and she was so kind to help me again. Thank you Inga! This time it was not easy to control the light and I had several problems with the reflection in the glasses. I changed the set up a bit and after it worked.

Strobe info: 400ws mono light in a 120cm gridded octabox for main light right from camera metered to F/5.6, VC300 left and right behind Inga with striplight metered to F4. Left from camera canon 430 EXII with light thru umbrella metered to F/2.8 for fill and a Canon 580EX II with green gel behind Inga for back drop. Triggert with Pocket Wizard miniTT1 with AC3 Zonecontroller, flexTT5 and Phottix Atlas

This was the earliset engagement shooting I ever did. It was during my October challange. Martina and Marc would like to marry next September. But I think I will do a second engagement shooting to get more details about the wedding. During the planing of a wedding could happen that some new opportunities will come or some old will go.

Strobe info: 400ws mono light witth 1/4 CTO gel in a big Octa and right from camera and infront of Martina, metered to f/2.8. Canon Speedlite 580 EXII with 1/4 CTO gel and light thue umbrella behind the tree spoted in Marcs direction, metered to f/2.8 - it makes a additional rim on Martinas back ;)
Triggert with Pocket Wizard miniTT1, flexTT5 and Phottix Atlas which is compatible to Pocket Wizard

The shooting yesterday was nice and together with Anne I took a lot of nice portraits. Juliane my girl friend noticed all the nice photos of her sister and she ask me about portrait 27. Let's meet Christian at portrait no. 23. I know Christian about 20years. We grown up in a small town with the nice short cut name Bali. We did a lot of skateboarding, hanging around and what teenager normally do (crazy stuff). Today we met us in the town where Christian lives, in Düsseldorf, one of the famous cities of North-Rhine-Westphalia. It was little bit different to the old places we met us in the past.

Personal note: Don't let the strobe bracket in the boot if you need one for a shooting

My 13. portrait was not easy to take because I didn't found someone who will take place in front of my camera. I did some phone calls and most popular answer was:"I'm sorry, I havn't got time at the moment!" and the most abstract answer was:"Hey, I have got my bed cloth on!" - it was at 4:15 PM ;o)
At home I asked my girlfriend and it took some minutes that she agreed. Big kiss to her :-) I tried to mix ambient light from the window with flashlight.

Weather is getting colder and today it wasn't so nice to make my portrait for today outside. Marian visited me at my studio to make the portrait for today. I build everything up and metered the light out before he came. Short look at the clock and it took 5min's to have everything done! Many thanks Marian.

Another upload from today. This shot was taken in a Area in the near of Hövelhof which is called Moosheide. Moosheide is a nature reserve of 442,72 ha with dunes, moorland and pines wood. The river Ems has his source in the Moosheide. Good to know, isn't it?

This is Leo, she is the daughter of my girlfriend and we are living together in one big house. She is a original 10years old teenager with all small (big) problems. I did a lot of photos and wasn't able to find the best one. Later I will upload some more from today!

This is Bolveat a tribute and cover band of Volbeat. Tobias Schmidt, Jonas Schlüchting, Florian Schmidt, Johannes Schlüchting and Tobias Beckmann had there first professional promo shooting with me :) It was a nice and perfect day – and this old Ford was absolutely amazing!

Andre again on my second day in October. The weather is perfect to do a small road trip around the “Lac Lemon – Switzerland". Very beautiful place. - I will upload some photos auf Lausanne little bit later ;-)

personal note: put him other way around to deal the lighting of glasses little bit better with this kind of setting

This shot was taken last Thursday in a Cocktail-bar named Hemingway. It's a nice Bar and they did everything new (renovation). I met Bianca and Michael there to have some drinks and photos. My favourite Drink there is CubaLibre with Myers's Rum and after one or two I did this image, Cheers!

Today I was inspired from a flickr contact and I bought some fruits for this fruits 'n' milk shooting.
I did it a little bit different to koenoe because I used HyperSync to all my flashes to freeze the movements completely. PocketWizards to shoot with in 1/4000sec are great for this photo and I am very happy with the result.

Strobe info: 580EX II in a 60x60 squared soft box left from camera as main, metered to f/2.8, 430EX II metered to f/2 straight without any defuser for rim lithe. Another 430EXII with gel for backdrop at full power. All flashes are triggert with flexTT5, miniTT1 and AC3 ZoneController.

Camera info: Canon EOS 5D MKII with EF85mm 1.2L MKII attached at f/2.8, 1/4000 and ISO50

Say hello to Ruth, I know her since many, many years. First time I met her it was in a club in Paderborn. I tried to get in contact with a friend from her but she said:”Please, don’t talk to me, I am not interested in you!!! But my friend Ruth, she could!” - Haha, this was one of the biggest rebuffs I have ever got but I got a very good friend instead, her name is Ruth. This photo is from the shooting last weekend. Ruth and Verena visited me to have some portrait shots. Before and during the shooting we had a couple of drinks. Jägermeister Energy for me and Prosecco for the girls :-) was a very funny Friday evening! Thank you girls!
