Pretty sure Eskimo's too broad a name, but that's what it says on the tag. About 50mm high. Worth checking out the group of with a dogsled in the same cabinet at the Pitt Rivers.

My desktop/wallpaper, uncluttered by all the stuff that should be somewhere else. Used continuously since March 2007. Don't see enough of these (wallpapers) on flickr, unless I'm missing something (oops - see Wallpapers Pool opp). This is a photo of a dried sealskin painted by a whale hunting culture somewhere in the Cold North. The real thing is more black and white, but I warmed it up a bit to make a more usable desktop. You can see the full story of the hunting of whales and other animals at the Pitt Rivers Museum at the back of Oxford University Natural History Museum.
