El puente Kaiku sobre la desembocadura del río Galindo y que conecta Barakaldo y Sestao. Esta infraestructura, se enmarca dentro del Eje del Ballonti, al departamento de Obras Públicas y Transportes de la Diputación Foral de Bizkaia le ha supuesto una inversión de 11.760.000 euros.
El puente es totalmente metálico, de planta curva y con un radio central de 250 metros, siguiendo el diseño realizado por el arquitecto Javier Manterola, autor también de los puentes de Plentzia y del de Euskalduna. Además, dispone de un tablero de 27 metros de anchura, incluyendo una acera de seis metros que dispondrá de una cubierta transparente que permitirá resguardarse de las inclemencias del tiempo a los peatones y, al mismo tiempo, mantener las vistas sobre la Ría. Asimismo, la nueva infraestructura tendrá un solo vano de 10 metros de luz y un arco de planta curva de 13,5 metros de altura.

The bridge is all-metal, ground curve with a radius of 250 meters central, following the design by architect Javier Manterola, who also designed the bridges of Euskalduna Plentzia. It also has a board of 27 meters wide, including a six-foot sidewalk with a clear cover that will shelter pedestrians from bad weather and at the same time, maintain the views over the estuary. Also, the new infrastructure will have a single span of 10 feet and an arc curve of 13.5 meters height.

30 St Mary Axe, also known as the Gherkin and the Swiss Re Building, is a skyscraper in London's main financial district, the City of London, completed in December 2003 and opened at the end of May 2004.[2] With 40 floors, the tower is 180 metres (591 ft) tall,[1] and stands on the former site of the Baltic Exchange building, which was severely damaged on 10 April 1992 by the explosion of a bomb placed by the Provisional IRA.[2][3]
After the plans to build the Millennium Tower were dropped, the current building was designed by Norman Foster,[1] his then business partner Ken Shuttleworth[4] and Arup engineers,[5] and was erected by Skanska in 2001–2003.

St Andrew Undershaft is a Church of England church located at St Mary Axe, in Aldgate ward of the City of London, near the Lloyd's Building. It is a rare example of a City church that has managed to escape both the Great Fire of London in 1666 and the Second World War bombing during the London Blitz of 1940-1941.
The first church on the site was built in medieval times, being recorded in 1147.[2] It was rebuilt in the fourteenth century and again in 1532[3], when the present church building was constructed. It is in the Perpendicular style [4] with its entrance located at the base of its off-centre tower. The interior is divided into six bays, with a many of the original fittings that have fortunately survived Victorian renovation. Formerly, the church had one of London's few surviving large stained-glass windows, installed in the 17th century, but this was destroyed in an IRA bomb-attack in 1992.

The church's curious name derives from the shaft of the maypole that was traditionally set up each year opposite the church.[5] The custom continued each spring until 1517, when student riots put an end to it, but the maypole itself survived until 1547 when a Puritan mob seized it and destroyed it as a "pagan idol".
The church is currently administered from St Helen's Bishopsgate in Lime Street ward. The church was designated a Grade I listed building on January 4, 1950.

The city of London in the United Kingdom is not characterised by any particular architectural style, having accumulated its buildings over a long period of time. Few structures predate the Great Fire of 1666, notable exceptions including the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Banqueting House and several scattered Tudor survivors in the City of London.

In itself, the City contains a wide variety of styles, progressing through Wren's late 17th century churches and the financial institutions of the 18th and 19th century such as the Royal Exchange and the Bank of England, to the early 20th century Old Bailey (England and Wales' central criminal court) and the 1960s Barbican Estate. Notable recent buildings are the 1980s skyscraper Tower 42, the Lloyd's building with services running along the outside of the structure, and the 2004 Swiss Re building, known as the "Gherkin".

London's generally low-rise nature makes these skyscrapers and others such as One Canada Square and its neighbours at Canary Wharf and the BT Tower in Fitzrovia very noticeable from a distance. High-rise development is restricted at certain sites if it would obstruct protected views of St. Paul's Cathedral. Nevertheless, there are plans for more skyscrapers in central London (see Tall buildings in London), including the 72-story "Shard of Glass", which will be one of the tallest buildings in Europe.

Other notable modern buildings include City Hall in Southwark with its distinctive ovular shape, the British Library in Somers Town, the Great Court of the British Museum, and the striking Millennium Dome next to the Thames east of Canary Wharf. The disused (but soon to be rejuvenated) 1933 Battersea Power Station by the river in the southwest is a local landmark, whilst some railway termini are excellent examples of Victorian architecture, most notably St Pancras and Paddington (at least internally).

Several monuments pay homage to people and events in the city. The Monument in the City of London provides views of the surrounding area whilst commemorating the Great Fire of London which originated nearby. Marble Arch and Wellington Arch, at the north and south ends of Park Lane respectively, have royal connections, as do the Albert Memorial and Royal Albert Hall in Kensington. Nelson's Column is a nationally-recognised monument in Trafalgar Square, providing a focal point for the whole central area.

Docklands is the semi-official name for an area in northeast and southeast London, England. It forms part of the boroughs of Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Newham and Greenwich. The docks were formerly part of the Port of London, at one time the world's largest port. They have now been redeveloped principally for commercial and residential use. The name London Docklands was used for the first time in a government report on redevelopment plans in 1971 but has since become virtually universally adopted. It also created conflict between the new and old communities of the London Docklands.

The Ontario Tower is a luxury high-rise residential development in London's Docklands. It was built by the Ballymore construction company, as part of a wider scheme in New Providence Wharf to provide new executive housing to meet changing demand in the Docklands area. 'Ontario' was designed by the architects who created landmarks such as Chicago's Willis Tower. The Ontario Tower is a distinct landmark of the London Skyline with its blue LED rimmed elliptical top. The 29-storey project was completed in the Autumn of 2007, and is the tallest building in London solely designed for executive residential use, at 104 metres tall.

It is expected to be joined by a much taller neighbour (Quebec Tower) directly next to it.

Ontrario Tower is a neighbour of the Radisson Edwardian Hotel. Hence, the residents of the tower can enjoy some of the hotel's facilities such as room service, business centre and spa. The hotel's gym and spa is located in the first floor of Ontario Tower.

Southwark Bridge is an arch bridge for traffic linking Southwark and the City across the River Thames, in London, England. It was designed by Ernest George and Basil Mott. It was built by Sir William Arrol & Co. and opened in 1921.[1] The bridge is owned and maintained by City Bridge Trust, a charitable trust overseen by the City of London Corporation.

Halfway along the bridge on the Western side is a plaque which is inscribed:

A previous bridge on the site, designed by John Rennie, opened in 1819, and was originally known as Queen Street Bridge, as shown on the 1818 John Snow Map of London. The bridge consisted of three large cast-iron spans supported by granite piers. It was known as the "Iron Bridge"[citation needed] in comparison to London Bridge, the "Stone Bridge". The bridge was notable for having the longest cast iron span, 240 feet (73 m), ever made.

The bridge provides access to Upper Thames Street on the north bank and, due to the Ring of steel, there is no further access to the City and the north. This has led to a reputation of it being the least used bridge in central London and it is sometimes known as the "car park bridge" as coach drivers use it to park their vehicles.

The current bridge was given Grade II listed structure status in 1995

The Círculo de Bellas Artes of Madrid (CBA) is a private, not-for-profit cultural institution. Ever since it was set up in 1880, it has played a major role of international scope in the field of cultural creation and diffusion.
The Círculo de Bellas Artes is a major multidisciplinary centre with one of the most active cultural programmes in Madrid. It has exhibition rooms, a cinema, a theatre, concert halls, lecture halls, artists’ workshops, a library, a cafeteria, a shop and many other facilities. Gorbea or Gorbeia is a mountain and massif, the highest in Biscay and Alava (Basque Country, Spain), with a height of 1,481 m AMSL. The massif covers a wide area between the two provinces. The main mountain is a round grass-covered summit where a 20-metre-tall metallic cross has been constructed to reach the altitude of 1,500 m. Other important mountains of the massif are the Lekanda (1,301 m) and Aldamin limestone peaks.

Part of the massif is delimited by the high karstic plateau of Itxina, an intrincate landscape of limestone full of shafts and caves such as Supelegor. The Atxular's Eye cave is the only walking access to the plateau.

The entire massif has been enclosed in a natural park of 200 km² created by the Basque Government in 1994 to preserve the local flora of beech and oak and fauna of wild boar and deer. The main access points for the mountain are Murgia from Alava and Areatza from Biscay.

London 2012 Curtain of Light

Westminster Abbey is steeped in more than a thousand years of history. Benedictine monks first came to this site in the middle of the tenth century, establishing a tradition of daily worship which continues to this day.
The Abbey has been the coronation church since 1066 and is the final resting place of seventeen monarchs.
The present church, begun by Henry III in 1245, is one of the most important Gothic buildings in the country, with the medieval shrine of an Anglo-Saxon saint still at its heart.
A treasure house of paintings, stained glass, pavements, textiles and other artefacts, Westminster Abbey is also the place where some of the most significant people in the nation's history are buried or commemorated. Taken as a whole the tombs and memorials comprise the most significant single collection of monumental sculpture anywhere in the United Kingdom.
The Library and Muniment Room houses the important (and growing) collections of archives, printed books and manuscripts belonging to the Dean and Chapter of Westminster, providing a centre for their study and for research into all aspects of the Abbey's long and varied history.
