The Great Egret is the symbol of the National Audubon Society, one of the oldest environmental organizations in North America. Audubon was founded to protect birds from being killed for their feathers.

Marbles has bad liter box habits that keep her confined to a room in our basement. Feeling she needs exercise and a view, we let her outside once a day. Marbles just wants free roam of the house like she used to so she paws at the door in the basement to be let out and as soon as she gets outside she paws at the door to be let back inside! Here she is pawing at the back sliding door, I thought she looked cute! (I was inside shooting through the glass.)

I just discovered I can edit a jpeg in the camera RAW editor in my PS Elements 10! I love the easy editing and noise reduction in camera RAW so I'm excited because I have so many jpeg images I took before I started to shoot RAW.

Also good news today, I was excepted as a contributor in Shutterstock, a stock website. It was my second try, but I have friends who tried multiple times before they excepted them!

I hope you all had a nice Christmas too! Mark, Jordan and I had fun with distant relatives from Mark's side of the family! Jordan, my 14 year old daughter, seems happy with her Christmas gifts! Christmas with my side of the family, planned for today (Dec. 29th), got cancelled because of an incoming snow storm!

I was trying to capture Leo kitty looking in the mirror at his reflection, but after I got out the camera, the only thing he wanted to do was sniff my lens! :)

Here is one from Spring 2012. Tulips are a symbol of Spring and we just had a beautiful Spring-like day here in Pennsylvania!
I haven't been on here much because I've been concentrating on my new found Stock photography interest. I've sold two images on Shutterstock so far! :)

Look what I found under the blanket! This blanket was a Christmas gift from Mark's Nana, it's soooooo soft, but it sheds! Even after I washed it, little blue fuzzies everywhere! LOL!
I hope you are all enjoying your day! Mark is sick and very whiney! :( Did I mention he was whiney?

Just thought I'd drop in to say hello! Stayed up late getting my Christmas tree decorated last night!
Found a bunch of free Actions for my MAC, PS Elements 10 and added them earlier today.
My camera club is hanging a show at a local art gallery again. I have two images I want to frame and submit. I'll be at the gallery for a while Monday night to help sign-in pictures as they get dropped off. Other members of the club our hanging the show on Wednesday while I'm at work.
Thank you all for stopping by! Did you start Christmas gift shopping yet? I've bought two gifts so far!

Datura is a genus belonging to the family Solanaceae and is known by many names, Angel's Trumpets, Moonflowers and Devil's Plant to name a few.
Though beautiful, Datura causes delirious states and death in people who ingest it and is historically known for it's ability to induce visions and hallucinations. It is also long known as an essential ingredient of witches' potions! : )
It blooms at twilight.
This bloom was white, but I tried to give it more of an evening or night look with my processing.

Halloween has ancient origins. 2,000 years ago, the Celts celebrated their new year on November 1 marking the beginning of the long winter. With winter often associated with death, the Celts believed that on October 31st, the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. On this eve they celebrated Samhain.

As I type this, Hurricane Sandy is blowing rain outside! I came home at 10:00 this morning because my place of work closed down. I hope all affected by Hurricane Sandy remain safe!
