Peace Pagoda is high,high up a mountain in Pokhara.

It's really a pilgrimage for those who choose to go the whole way up on foot.

At dusk, it looks like a place from another world.

সৃষ্টিস্থিতিবিনাশানাং means ‘ you are the cause of creation,preservation,and destruction..’

Worship of devi Durga in hinduism,is essentially the worship of the ancient feminine force..force that has the power to heal,and to destroy. Durga is a mother,the wife of a god.. a bride who returns to her motherland only once a year..but she’s also the goddess that destroyed mahishasur,a demon whom all Brahma,Vishnu and Shiva failed to slay.
When Mahishasur first met his challenger,he ridiculed her..underestimating her because she was a female. But the ever smiling goddess only laughed,the power of that laughter caused an earthquake..in the end mahishasur was defeated.

Every woman has those bits of the goddess within her,every woman can kill,and every woman can save.it’s just a question of which side of her you bring out.

Buddhists fly lanterns or "ফানুশ" on probarona purnima..because they believe these objects made of wax,cloth and hope will take their prayers directly to the heavens.

It does not hurt to believe.
It does not hurt to believe that all those prayers you say looking upwards might be listened to,that your wishes don't just escape your soul and dissappear..
