Anemone nemorosa is an early-spring flowering plant in the genus Anemone in the family Ranunculaceae, native to Europe. Common names include wood anemone, windflower, thimbleweed, smell fox and helmet flower, an allusion to the musky smell of the leaves. Blowing in the wind and the wind blows where he wants
also on the beach of De Haan, Belgium. There you can see the artwork from the Frenchman Daniel Buren in the third Art Triennial at sea with 100 flagpoles up with 100 windsocks. These are the tubes that you also can find on bridges or airports showing the wind direction.
They are candy-striped, like the fabrics of beach chairs in the summer and on my photo they just stand horizontal because of the wind. With his artwork Buren wants to inspire the illusion of a forest on the beach. The visitor can walk around and between them in an oasis of colors.
Through the game of ebb and flood of the North Sea and the light the flagpoles are sometimes small and far away, then large and dense.

De Haan is a municipality located in Belgium in the province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the villages of De Haan proper, Klemskerke, Vlissegem and Wenduine. Ostend, the nearest large town is 10 km away. It takes about 20 Minutes driving to Bruges. The coastal village of De Haan proper has maintained a low skyline so its many buildings in Belle Époque style are still prominently visible.
Its most famous resident was Albert Einstein, who lived there for six months in 1933 after leaving Nazi Germany. (Source: Wikipedia: De Haan, Belgium).

Vom Winde verweht und der Wind weht, wo er will,
auch am Strand von De Haan. Dort hat der Franzose Daniel Buren im Rahmen der dritten Kunst-Triennale am Meer 100 Fahnenmasten aufgestellt mit 100 Wetterhähnen daran. Das sind diese Stoffröhren, die auch an Brücken oder auf Flugplätzen die Windrichtung anzeigen.
Bunt-weiß-gestreift, wie die Stoffe von Strandkörben im Sommer, sind sie und auf meinem Foto lässt der Wind sie gerade stramm waagerecht stehen. Buren will mit seinem Kunstwerk die Illusion eines Waldes am Strand erwecken. Der Besucher kann zwischen ihnen herumlaufen und in einer Oase von Farben verrinnen.
Durch das Spiel von Ebbe und Flut der Nordsee sind die Fahnenstangen mal klein und weit weg, dann wieder groß und dicht.
De Haan, ist ein Ferienort und eine Gemeinde in Belgien in der Provinz Westflandern. Von den 12.243 Einwohnern leben ungefähr 5200 im Badeort De Haan.
De Haan liegt direkt an der Nordseeküste. In zentraler Lage im Ort befindet sich ein Haltepunkt der Küstenstraßenbahn Kusttram, welche sämtliche Orte an der belgischen Nordseeküste miteinander verbindet. Ostende, die nächste größere Stadt ist 10 km entfernt. Nach Brügge sind es ca. 17 km.
Der berühmteste Einwohner von De Haan war Albert Einstein, der 1933 dort sechs Monate nach seiner Flucht aus Deutschland lebte. (Quelle: Wikipedia: De Haan).

Phacelia in Spring Vineyard

I know Phacelia (Scorpionweed) already a long time. Many species are cultivated as garden plants and honey plants. I love this wonderful flower which attracts bees and bumblebees.
Now I saw it for the first time planted between the wine rows and like the blue colour between the green lines. I think the wingrowers use it as green manure how I used to do in my own garden many years. This vineyard is in Kleinheppach (Region Stuttgart, Germany).

Bryce Canyon National Park is a national park located in southwestern Utah in the United States. The major feature of the park is Bryce Canyon which, despite its name, is not a canyon but a giant natural amphitheater created by erosion along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. Bryce is distinctive due to geological structures called hoodoos, formed by wind, water, and ice erosion of the river and lake bed sedimentary rocks. The red, orange, and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views for park visitors. Bryce sits at a much higher elevation than nearby Zion National Park. The rim at Bryce varies from 8,000 to 9,000 feet (2,400 to 2,700 m).

The Bryce area was settled by Mormon pioneers in the 1850s and was named after Ebenezer Bryce, who homesteaded in the area in 1874. The area around Bryce Canyon became a U.S. National Monument in 1923 and was designated as a national park in 1928. The park covers 35,835 acres (55.99 sq mi; 145.02 km2) and receives relatively few visitors compared to Zion National Park and the Grand Canyon, largely due to its remote location. This photo was taken 1992 with my Olympus SLR Camera and now scanned from the slide. Just started to scan the slides from Bryce Canyon ... you will see more. They are much better than the scans from the photos!

I saw two different images. In the display of my camera I saw the stone wall and in the folder of my computer in the small version it looks like frogs in profile with hats in tailcoats in a row ;-))

When I went home this afternoon I met a sweet cat on my way. She crept around my legs. Since I have always my camera with me, I wanted to try to get a close up of her and crouched down. She was so restless and moved constantly around my legs.
But suddenly as a bird flew over our heads, I got my chance. She sat down and watched him. That was my moment to capture the above scene and this is the only one I could make from her.

Als ich heute nach Hause ging kreuzte eine süße zahme Katze meinen Weg. Sie schlich die ganze Zeit um mich herum. Da ich meine Kamera immer bei mir habe, wollte ich sehr gern eine Nahaufnahme von ihr machen und setzte mich in die Hocke. Ein Makro war jedoch unmöglich, da sie ständig in Bewegung war und um meine Beine schlich.
Doch plötzlich flog ein Vogel über uns. Sie setzte sich, ließ ihn nicht aus den Augen und beobachtete ihn sehr genau. Das war meine Chance für die einzige obige Aufnahme. Weitere waren nicht möglich.

This is "my" tree because I just love him. The walnut tree is only 5 minutes from my house and I walk there often through the fields.

In my comment you can see the reverse side of the tree with blue sky.

My youngest grandchild Wilm one year old walked his first steps without taking someones hand during I was in Bielefeld. He simply still loves crawling on the ground and it doesn't matter whether on foliage in the forest or on the street ;-)).

This photo was taken in the last sunrays of the day. How you can see Wilm crawled on the ground before he stood right beside the tree.

This shot reminds me on a German children's song "Ein Männlein steht im Walde ..." (Hoffmann von Fallersleben). I don't know whether it is known in English ... maybe one of you know?

Tower of Castle Ruin Hohennagold

Hohennagold Castle is a ruined castle situated on a hill, the so-called Schlossberg (castle mountain), overlooking the Black Forest town of Nagold. The hill consists predominantly of porphyritic rock. The ruins represent a relatively well-preserved 12th century castle. The keep behind the curtain walls, a tower in the north-western corner of the complex as well as the outer ward with half-round and angular towers, are still visible. Around the castle there appears to have been a moat.

An early medieval fortification was possibly erected at the location of the future castle around 750 by Count Ruodbrecht, one of Charlemagne's uncles.

The original castle was built around 1100 by the Counts of Nagold, who became the Counts palatine of Tübingen in 1145. The castle complex was extensively expanded between 1153 and 1162.

In the middle of the 13th century the castle passed into the possession of the Counts of Hohenberg. Thereafter, one branch of this family called itself Counts of Nagold and had the castle transformed into their residence in the 13th and 14th century. In 1364 the sold the castle to the Counts of Württemberg. The new owners added bastions and towers to the outer ward and had the castle occupied by their ministeriales. Towards the end of the Thirty Years' War, the castle was conquered by Bavarian troops in 1645 and severely damaged. In 1646 the remnants of the castle were pulled down.

In 1945 the northwest tower was destroyed by a low-level attack carried out by Allied planes. The castle remains were tentatively restored after World War II, trying to preserve the castle as a ruin (Wikipedia).
