Here's another image from a pretty special sunset down at La Perouse the other week. Not had much time to get out recently, so when I can I'm going back over some old photos.

This one was 4 shots stitched in the marvelous PTGui. This software is so good it made something just about usable out of what looked like a total lost cause. This one was a bit of a bastard to stitch together, but I think it holds up just about now. I really need to get a proper panoramic head!

Not a cloud in the sky on Saturday morning at Coogee, but it was great to meet with the Focus group and always good to be out at that time. I got a shot of the pool the other week, so thought I'd try a pano of the beach facing away from the rather dull sunrise taking place. A bit of pink colour with a full moon - about the best I could have hoped for! Three images stitched in PTGui.

I love the Opera House. It's such an incredible building, because it's so original, so unbelievable as a structure, and because there are so many angles where it just looks completely different.

Once the building work is complete on the Opera House steps, this position will give a really nice view for sunset photos. As it is you need to crop out quite a bit. There's a bit of clinging to railings involved...! This is 3 images stitched in PTGui.

The Ross Jones Memorial Pool on the southern end of Coogee Beach. Lots of people milling about this morning - more photographers than swimmers!. But managed to get a few different shots during the few minutes that there was some colour in the sky.

Something a bit different from the usual Sydney scenes. This is Gregynog Hall, a large country mansion situated in the middle of Wales, UK. I was lucky enough to be at a conference at this amazing building during the recent cold snap that hit the UK. This is 3 images stitched in PTGui.

Was hoping to catch her coming in to the harbour passing the Opera House, but she was in early, well before I got there. Still an amazing sight to see this massive and strikingly beautiful liner in the harbour amongst the usual scenery. This panorama was from 3 shots at 40 seconds each, stitched together using PTGui.

First time at this location. Wonderful spot for photography here and I'll be back to get a ripper sunrise soon. This wasn't it though...a thick bank of cloud on the horizon put paid to what looked like a cracker. Oh well. I've gone for a high-contrast process and warmed it a little.

Found this one lurking amongst a bunch of duff shots I took the other week down by Mrs Macquarie's chair at sunset. I was trying to capture a panoramic image of the city skyline, the OH and the bridge, but nothing was really happening to make it interesting. Then I noticed this huge cloud roll in way up high over the OH and so quickly recomposed to make this photo.

Had to put up with quite a bit of rain this morning - one early morning jogger noted my "dedication to the art"...well maybe, or maybe just stupid. But there was thick cloud with a sliver of clear sky below, so it was always going to produce nice colour. I've no idea what's in that mysterious metal box with the chain wrapped around it!
