May 1968 in Arizona somewhere. We used to drive on long trips in the summer and try to escape the heat. This area still looks pretty hot but heck it's only May! I like this picture.

This was in 1971 in Arizona. not sure of the location. You could pay a fee and hack out obsidian (they called them Apache Tears). Mark, Dad, Danise, Gram Anderson and Mom.

Danise and Heidi in the backseat of a Purple Chevrolet station wagon. It had a red interior if I remember right. No seat belt laws back then. Riding was lots more fun!!
