Pasadena, California. The Huntington Garden. I found a clump of yellow daisies in the herb garden and there were a few bees working them. This is another bee that seems to be more successful in collecting pollen, or, is really well hung, or both.

Yoga mats

New Preston, Connecticut. Anne and I were getting ready to leave after a great yoga class this morning and our "his and hers" yoga mats were crying out to be photographed. His is the orange one, more tightly wound (like him) and hers is the yellow one, looser and more optimistic. they do best leaning on each other lest they both go flat.

Yellow Tomato Bokeh Sauce

Warren, Connecticut. A lone dwarf yellow tomato escapes being caught in my macro lens' bokeh sauce. A bowl of ripe, yellow plumb tomatoes is both a photographic and gustatory opportunity and I must say, I've taken full advantage of both.

Canon 5D, Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro, ISO 100, f/2.8 at 1.3 seconds.

Warren, Connecticut. The cornfield across the road, which hasn't been plowed under yet, is covered with dandelions. For a weed they're pretty interesting.
