The exterior of this building isnt the most interesting in my opinion, but the main hall inside... wow..! Here two railway-lines crosses each other, the east-west at level +2 and the north-south at level -2. The 3 levels between contain all the station fascilities, waiting areas, a shopping centre, offices and a complex web of bridges, escalators, elevators and stairs. The atmosphere of this room is truly amazing; all the movements of people and trains, all the noises, the light being filtered through the glass roof covered in snow etc..

I've been to Vikersund 4 times in my life to see skiflying and each time the competition has been cancelled due to bad weather, so I hesitated a long time about going this year.

Then two days ago I discovered that the main sponsor Hyundai was doing a competition where you could win VIP-tickets to the event. All you had to was to explain why you thought you deserved to get some tickets. So I explained^^ -and I won..! Free food, reserved table, great seats during the competition, and I even got a guided tour to the top of the hill afterwards! That makes up for those 4 unsucessful visits :)
