After posting the NG 1/100 Exia's WIP torso, here are its legs and feet.

AB'd with Tamiya acrylics, panel-lined, and snap-built (again). No top-coat so far.

White Exia

The Gundam Exia GN-001.

My very first Gundam kit. Test-fitted, sanded, primed (white) and puttied.

Next step -- cementing some parts (like the shoulders) to remove those unwanted seam lines.

It's been more than a month now since I bought it (February 10, 2008) and judging by the time it took me to reach the puttying step, I guess it would take me months before I can complete this one.

On a side note, I kinda like the all-white colorway (while retaining the yellow, clear grean and dark-gray internals). Maybe I'll mod this into the Trans-Am version... or, maybe a different color scheme. :)

And yes, it IS a WIP, so expect a few update pics the next few days... or weeks. :)

My PS skills (if there are any) are waaaaay too rusted to show you a better image.

It's still a WIP. I was just curious as to how Tamiya metallic acrylics would look like once photographed.

The weapons are still to be primed and painted and the water-slide decals have yet to be applied.

I was feeling a li'l giddy about the exposure of the original shot that I decided to play with it a bit in CS3.

Part of this shield was broken and subsequently fixed a few weeks ago.

Here it is now -- painted and rebuilt.

Part of my Exia's shield broke (stupid me) as I was dismantling it.

Oh well, no worries. Tamiya cement to the rescue!

After some Tamiya cement and a little bit of pressing... voila!

Using Tamiya cement for styrene really does wonders. It bonds the plastic by melting and it doesn't have the brittle after-effects like Cyanoacrylate, more popularly known as super glue.

By the way, Tamiya cement doesn't work that well (or not at all) for ABS plastic. Don't ask me why... it just doesnt. =D
