I think this was after the bulk of Crib Goch, so the nerves had calmed down a bit. Of course we had yet to get to Snowdon, and yet to tackle Y Lliwedd.

Level 1 scramble apparently. Reminds me of one of those multiple exposure shots, except these are all different people.

There were definitely a good few bits which were quite a challenge to get up and over, particularly when there's a 500ft drop beneath you. Fun times.

Also known as the knife's edge, Crib Goch is a steep ridge that runs along the Pyg track before connecting the mountains of Garnedd Ugain, Snowdon, and Y Lliwedd.

We had 5-20m visibility most of the time, with high winds threatening to push us over the edge. Was hands and feet most of the time. Described as "not a mountain for the inexperienced", I'm inclined to agree.

Would definitely like to do the route again (ideally with better visibility), though don't know I'd recommend it without caution. We were indebted to Chris for guiding us through, particularly in the areas where the route is far from clear.

This is the only signage we saw on the entire journey. Initially I lamented the poor communication, but on further consideration I have a suspicion it's done on purpose to discourage people from taking the route.

I haven't found any numbers on fatalities, but I'm guessing the local council would prefer not sending out rescue helicopters each week.

I will say that I'm very glad we had Chris as our guide. This was his 3/4th ascent, so whilst scary, at least we knew where we were going.
