I was driving down the road next to my house and I saw a turtle on the side of the road. I was afraid the turtle would get hit by a car so I went to rescue it. I picked up the turtle and got a BIG surprise! She was laying eggs in a perfect hole she had dug. I ran and got my camera!! She layed about 15 eggs and as she layed them she pushed them down deep into the hole with her strong back feet. When she was finished and had covered them over I picked her up and led her to the water and gave her a gentle push. She slid into the water and as she swam away she looked back at me.........I hope she is safe. I was driving down the road next to my house and I saw a turtle on the side of the road. I was afraid the turtle would get hit by a car so I went to rescue it. I picked up the turtle and got a BIG surprise! She was laying eggs in a perfect hole she had dug. I ran and got my camera!! She layed about 15 eggs and as she layed them she pushed them down deep into the hole with her strong back feet. When she was finished and had covered them over I picked her up and led her to the water and gave her a gentle push. She slid into the water and as she swam away she looked back at me.........I hope she is safe.
