It was the first day of the market - a rainy morning. There were still a lot of people to check out the produce, among them this little girl in her princess dress, tiara and red shoes. She was adorable.

The announcer said Ute doesn't want any photography or videos taken at her concert, so I just took a shot of the set. This is the second time I saw her at a concert, and she was fabulous again. She transported me to Europe - at least in spirit.

I had a tablespoon of Limoncello left in a bottle, which I added to the gelato. This little recipe booklet was attached to the bottle. I think I'll try some of these cocktails later this summer!

We walked to this new restaurant/brewery place last night for dinner. The decor is dominated by the current recycled wood style - for the indoor tables and chairs and wall coverings, as well as the planters lining the brick fencing of the outdoor dining area. The menu is quite good, they had several tofu options and the beer selection is decent. It will be a good place to walk to on a hot summer evening for an al fresco dinner. They also have chili with buffalo meat (I've never tried buffalo before) on the menu, which sounds like a tempting winter meal.

I am trying not to fill the project with food photos, but it was hard to resist the picture of my homemade donuts...and it was a quiet day anyway, some catching up on photos and blog recipe posts and reading, and a nice walk in the afternoon, then ending with (finally) watching Lincoln.

It was good to sit down for a couple of minutes in this quiet little garden on a day that was filled with a doctor's appointment, meetings and a presentation. I should make it a point to find quiet moments to slow down on busy, stressful days.
