Presenting the colors - NMHU graduation ceremony 2006

I was looking to see if i could capture an image that wasn't so much a photo but more iconic that represented the pride that Americans felt towards their flag and all it stands for.

This was a really dark photo shot at a high iso in very dark conditions - i think this saves it.

'Rivera Mesa fire line1' On Black

A member of the Roosevelt Hotshots sets dry grass alight in a back burn to create a containment line along the east side of the Rivera Mesa fire near Ocate New Mexico. The fire which has burned over 10,000 acres continues to burn in the hills behind.

The Hotshots are what would be considered the special forces of firefighters in addtion to the smoke jumpers
