it may look like some alien form, but this is actually still the same gerbera this time a bit close using the 105f2.8VR with the raynox close up lens.

did not use a tripod and it was a bit difficult to focus macros this close without shaking. had to take several shots before i got one that i thought looked right.

just heard those words on the television and thinking of how this gerbera photo connects to that phrase...sooner or later...hmmm...can't seem to find a connection, but i like that title. somehow it means hope...so will keep it! have grand thursday everyone!

i remember when i was in a choir, to "stick out" is a bad thing...it means one is not in harmony with the whole group! in this case, however, i thought that this oddly shaped petal that was sticking out of the gerbera's harmonious arrangement of petals was set for an unusual macro shot. hope you like it!

amazing grace

curve ahead

more of the same gerbera. i get various shades of red with automatic white balance for some reason. i like the bright red of this one...still thinking of various ways to shoot this flower. hope you like this one.

it's back!

it was in 2007 when i shot my first gerbera and it became some kind of a trademark. it was a continuous challenge then, how to shoot the gerbera in ways i never thought i could. i forgot why i stopped shooting them...perhap i just got bored with it or my creative mind has lost its fuel to come up with something new. well, today i shot the gerbera again...got myself a bright red one. for everyone who missed it...
