I don't recall Gene Autry's movies but I saw Roy Rogers and Trigger in reruns on television when I was a child. I love Champion's famous pistol bridle shanks!

A classmate in the "Whispers of the Past" book-making scored these spiffy buttons at a shop--I had to take a photo of the logo, "Hollywood Style". So Art Deco in every way!

My daughter, like so many girls, always has enjoyed "My Little Ponies." Last year, I purchased a vintage case from the mid-1980s that came with several ponies, including Starshine and a baby unicorn.

The case dates to 1985.

Safari Buckskin Horse

I wandered through our local Tuesday Morning on a whim and came across a shelf full of lovely, larger size Safari Ltd. "Blue Ribbon" series horse models.

Just as detailed as the smaller ones, these 2007 (now retired) horses come in 11 breeds or colors. I picked out two--this quarter horse and a handsome Palomino.

This Breyer model hose, "Buck," based on the famous horses of the Bonanza TV series was only $19.99 at my local Tuesday Morning. I like buckskins, so brought him home. I had seen him at the Feed Store for $35 at Christmas.

Thrift store find. A china figurine, "My Little Pony" with the rainbow-logo decal across her rump. This is a trinket for my daughter, who still likes "MLP"!

We did the pin-trading thing at Walt Disney World, using a stash acquired by the lot from eBay. My son was the master trader, and he collected this six-pin "Florida Orange Bird" cast-lanyard set for me. The silver bird is a the "chaser" or "caboose" for the set.

The cute birds are displayed here on a vintage souvenir potholder.

We're not pin-trading fanatics--although we did trades with park guests as well as cast members.
