i used the same method as the one before this - a tracing of the outlines
of the figure and then trying out the shading, lines, etc. to get used to the weight of the tablet pen with a light color I can build with.

the text was overheard from two women having a conversation behind me while i drew on the rocks in front of them. drawn directly under the Manhattan Bridge in Brooklyn overlooking Stuytown, after a nice bike ride on one of the most beautiful days of the year. i neglected the texture of the water and the color of the sandy/rocky beach...but yeah. Oh Manhattan.

i drew my leg and my arm for practice (y'know, I hadn't drawn any dismembered parts in a while so I thought it was time), and then added the text (from conversation happening around me) also for practice...so, it's practice, so they're not centered and that's okay.
