In the foreground is the former Teachers' Training College of St.Peter, Saltley. This had a very good reputation and its alumni were referred to as 'Old Salts'

The next photos were taken from the top of the tower through the open louvres.
Inside the tower is a carillion of 23 bells. It's quite noisy up there when they are being rung, as they were today!

This tower was added to the original building od 1715 in 1725 and houses 12 bells
