Another shot taken on Holy Island (Lindisfarne) showing the characteristic boat huts. Again with the Castle in the background.

Single RAW shot exposed 5 times and then HDR'd using Photomatix 3.

I left Blackpool on a windy but sunny morning. By the time I got to the M6 it was throwing it down. Unpreturbed by the mist and rain I kept going into the Lake District. This was one of the first pictures I took of Blea Tarn that day, before my camera got soaked and I retreated back to the car.

Sony Alpha 700 + Sigma 10-20mm lens. Single RAW shot processed three times and hdr'd using Photomatix Pro 3.

Huddersfield from Holme Moss

Holme Moss (1719 feet asl) is a moor between Huddersfield and Glossop, on the edge of England's "Peak District", and home to one of England's most powerful radio transmitters. It's also one of England's most punishing bicycle ascents (400m in 5km). Here's the view from the top looking back towards Huddersfield. View large and you can see Emley Moor TV mast, one of Yorkshire's landmarks.

Lindisfarne Castle

Lindisfarne (or Holy Island) is located off the coast of Northumberland, near Berwick-upon-Tweed. The island is accessible by car at low tide. The Castle was originally a Tudor fort, but was converted into a private house in 1903.

Another shot of the tree in the Yorkshire Dales, slightly different angle to the other shot. I used the Grad filter in Lightroom 2 rather than HDR'ing this shot.

Wanted to capture another bare tree before the leaves started to grow. Shot on Malham Moor (in strong wind), HDR'd using Photomatix Pro 3,1 then converted to B&W in Elements 6.
