It seems that every weekend many Sydneysiders had only the goal to get on a sail boat. This was partially for the fun of it, but also for regattas.
Living on a lake, I have never seen so many different kinds of sail boats going from the single hands to big boats with more than 10 persons needed to sail.

5YAU: Keep walking

"James Craig" is tall sail ship based in Sydney. They offer day tours out to the ocean under sail with this wonderfully restored tall ship. As you can see, we had a relatively rough sea, so you stayed best up on the deck for not getting sea sick. It was really a wonderful experience to go out using this ship. The majority of the crew is doing this service for free, respectively to get a chance to go up the masts to set sail.

My passport reads "IMMIGRATION AUSTRALIA ARRIVED -8 FEB 2007 SYDNEY AIRPORT". So it is now five years that I arrived in Australia for a work assignment for close to five months. This set represents a personal selection about what I saw, worked in or visited in Australia.
