EXPLORE: September 30. Whenever there's a lot of rain in my neighborhood, we see turtles passing through the front yard. I suspect they are coming from the wetland area down the road and are moving to higher ground? I have no idea. I'm happy to have them pass through and to stay as long as they like. This is one of the animal companions who was visiting Woodburn Hill Farm the same weekend I was. The photo was taken during one of our early morning walks. Southern Maryland. This lovely magnolia grows in my neighbor's yard and a few branches reach over the fence and into my yard. I'm very thankful that my neighbor doesn't trim his magnolia tree very often.

This was photographed moments into the beginning of the lunar eclipse. Thanks to Ken for the tips on shooting the moon with Fuji s5700. This looks much better than earlier. Ken, you're the best.
