My most recent small owl (under 3" tall). Made him a mix of real and whimsy. I think he looks great with his little heart and flowers!! Some lady owl will be very lucky! He's included in the class I am currently putting together for CraftArtEDU.

About 2.5" tall - maybe 3 - didn't really measure him. I'm still considering doing some additional work, but pleased with how he's turned out so far.

based upon the character in the movie The Neverending Story. It was an interesting project that I did for a friend. There was a limited budget (and I gave her a lot more time) so I ended up stylizing and simplifying some aspects and concentrated most of my time on sculpting the head.

The second larger needle felted cat complete with fur (which really does take FURever to do)! This one is larger than the last one. Over all I'm pretty pleased. Learned a few more things about working in this scale. Have a painting to do next so needle felting will have to be on hold for a short while.

Just finished putting together a class for CraftArtEdu on making these needle felted Acorn Earrings. They're fun to make and don't take a lot of fiber.
I also explained ways to try different variations - the possibilities are pretty endless!

I've been working on a couple different earring classes and ended up getting sidetracked putting together this necklace. All in all I'm pleased with the outcome. I've learned a lot which I hope will be useful when I make a second and better version.

Three recent experiments - mostly relating to needle felted jewelry ideas.

I've been toying with the idea of doing a steampunk necklace and having seen that octopi often show up in steampunk I made one. Flat on the back, dimensional in front. Doubt that this particular piece will work with the gears I bought.

Beads and a Cabochon - I've used silk before with my Merino fiber and I know that it adds a luster and reflective quality that the wool lacks. The beads and cabochon are very firmly felted.
