The path immediately beneath the summit is strewn with large boulders of quartz, which looks like ice and snow from the distance. This is always my favourite bit of the climb :)

One of my favourite spots outside Glasgow. 1hr 30min from my flat in Glasgow and you are in the middle of mountains, lochs, trees... 1hr 30min from my flat in London and you'll be lucky to hit the M25, and if you are really lucky you might even see a dead fox on the roadside.

This lens is amazingly immune to flaring! Just look at this shot taken directly facing the sun! Compare it with the ones taken with the DSLR and you'll see what I mean! Stunning, period.

Again, didn't touch the colour at all. This was the light we had for the first hour of the descent, before it became pitch black!

It's probably the last time I get to climb a mountain for quite a while! The weather didn't let us down. We had radiant sunshine for the whole day, and then had to walk the last mile or so in the dark. Good thing we brought torches!
