Just returned from a weekend in Chicago with my brother. Went to an Avett Brothers concert on Friday night out on Northerly Island. A great venue, a fine night. I always enjoy time spent with family in Chi-town.

I couldn't be more proud of my daughter and her two friends who are playing for a wedding next weekend. How can these children possibly accomplish so much in their young lives?

Climbed the 250+ stairs to the top of the Munster Cathedral in Konstanz, Germany ... to be rewarded w/ this incredible view. It seemed like I was looking down into some small-scale model of this wonderfully charming city by the Bodensee.

For the past three years I've tried to recognize in some way the day my father passed. Hard to believe it was 3 years ago today. This year I'm not sure what I'll do special with my family today, but posting this photo of me and my dad is a good start.

Not sure what was scarier for a little boy ... those noisy clippers coming at me or the color scheme in our bathroom. It may be a toss-up. :)

I asked J-man to straighten up his room before his buddy came over to play this past weekend. After he did this I went in to find this sitting on his desk. I'm not quite certain what goes through his crazy little mind when he does things like this, but I'm not sure it matters. Was he hoping for some financial recovery for his room-cleaning efforts? It remains unclear...

Just returned from spending some time w/ my family down in Florida. It is always so special the time I spend w/ my amazing grandmother. I have so much love and respect for her ... I hope she rubs off on me in some way making me a better parent ... a better person ... a wiser father.
