This was 2008.

Original photo was a three shot 2 exposure bracket that I then compiled in Photomatix and made B&W in Photoshop.

HDR used to bring out the trains detail. Most noticeable was the ability to properly expose underside of the car which would would normally be pitch black.

My favorite of the train series. Photo was originally shot at midday with the slightest bit of cloud cover. When I brought the 3 bracket +/-2 exposure into Photomatix and started to play with the controls I started to see this view and ran with it. By using the shadow cropping and highlight sliders the look of a lone overhead street light emerged.
