it had been an energetic evening and the dj, mercifully, was sending us home with a long, slow number.

these two, blissfully oblivious as they were, were waltzing almost stationarily over my handbag. later, when i opened it to pay the taxi driver, i found everything inside had been coated with toothpaste (!).

it seems that the lack of a singalong with this album has revealed how much cribbing goes on between these lyric sites. not only have none of them managed to discover what david is actually warbling on about but they all have exactly the same pattern of question marks for the words they can't make out. i've made myself quite deaf trying to work the missing words out for myself. here is your opportunity to make a contribution.
