Happy as Larry with this shot, I took it last week away doon at Monifieth at sunset, but it must have been lurking in the shadows because I didn't notice it till now :O

I have had a lovely year with regards to photography, I feel I have come on leaps and bounds, and found my groove with regards to sunsets and Long exposure photography. My New years resolution will be to take the advice of SO MANY people who have mentioned it, and find a way to make some money from my pictures. People have told me that I could sell them, and I've been a bit sceptical, but what the hell, if I don't try, it won't ever happen, right?
I got plenty from today but this one is slightly different for me, a beautiful sky complimented by crashing waves on the foreshore...

One more shot from Sunday morning down at the Beach, I absolutely LOVE Broughty Ferry for Sunrises, the sun rises over the water for almost the entire year, save for a few weeks in the summer :) I have had a great response to the last couple of shots I have posted, so thankyou all that have looked at them :)

I would love some comments/critiques on this shot, because im not sure i managed to get the foreground right while processing... opinions please?

Popped along to Easthaven this morning... there was very little cloud towards the Sun (Though there was plenty behind me) So there's not much sky in this shot, but the Water breaking over the Gate, or fence, or whatever it might be, was just way too nice not to capture :)

Righty-o, Got out tonight, popped down to the Castle at the Ferry, Lovely sunset, crap location really, took me about 45 mins to come up with this composition. But all in all, happy with it :)
As the light faded and I made my way back to the car, all of a sudden the colours popped and the sky lit up in a dazzling display, that I missed unfortunately, but the lesson here is, always wait ten minutes longer than you hoped to... and then wait some more!

Sitting right down at the waters edge, with my shutter open, I was just taking in this incredible sunset and going over in my head how wonderful life is at times :)

A group of teenagers were walking the path around the reservoir when they spotted me and started talking amongst themselves;

"Whats he doing?"
"He's got a camera, looks like he's taking pictures of the sunset. People get paid a lot of money for that."
"What, for pictures of Clatto???"
"You'd be surprised. Its like for the wallpapers on your laptop. He probably gets about £500 for every photo he takes!"

LOL - if only!!! Anyway, it was stunning last night, and I have captured it as best I can here.
