This photo appeared in the 28 April, 1934 edition of The Sphere.
"...Vice-Admiral R.M. Colvin, C.B., C.B.E., R.N., formally handed over the new silk Jack, made by a disabled ex-service man and presented by an anonymous donor. It is a replica of the flag carried by the Marine Society in 1759."

A photo from the 2 February 1935 edition of The Sphere titled, "Outward Bound For 2 1/2 Years Foreign Service". The heavy cruiser H.M.S. Norfolk leaves for the East Indies after being re-commisioned. Three Royal Marines in their white pith helmets are visible at the left of the photo.

An RPPC photo. No information on the reverse. Found at St. Lawrence Market in Toronto.
Two of the chaps in the back row have what appears to be seaman gunner badges on their right sleeve. Four of the five chaps seated in front are Chief Petty Officers. The eldest fellow in the center has a nice row of service ribbons but even with magnification I can''t make them out. Can anyone suggest what the chap on the front left's rank is? His cap badge differs from the CPO's and I don't see anything on his sleeves.
