A new visitor to my garden this winter. I've seen and heard them before, but they only stayed high in the trees. This female came down to check the quality of the peanuts...

Back to the Tits visiting my feeder. This Blue Tit is maybe small in size compared with the Great Tit but he sure is fierce and the boss in the garden!

Yesterday I was trying to capture Bramblings which were feeding on the ground near my hide. So I was laying there also for the lowest point of view possible. Suddenly I head a familiar sound and saw this friendly Redpol peched on the Alder branch I placed for the Greenfinches to perch on when my camera is on the tripod to get a nice brown background created by a out of focus hedge. Well the nice brown background wasn't possible from the ground, but I still was able to capture some shots.

It was just a great experience to discover this yellow wonder in this complete white world with all trees covered with hoar frost.
