Spring is around the corner literally, but this year's New York winter is not willing to die without a fight... half slushy snow here and there, and rainy gray and gloomy days every day for the last week? I thought only London or Seattle suffered that kind of thing! :-(

At least makes for some potentially interesting umbrella shots!

So Saturday night, I'm at a bar for the birthday of a friend who DJs there. I go to the very small bathroom they have there, and I hear these voices and laughs outside. Imagine my surprise when I open the door to come face to face with this wonderful apparition.

I couldn't help but ask for a quick improvised capture of the scene as it was. Learned hi name was Matthew and offered to text the picture. Did so, smiled and left...

Some icons will forever be preserved.. Even in the most unexpected ways and places.

For every bit of pride about being a super metropolis that produces richness and culture of the best kind, there's also a dark side that doesn't get featured that often.

The culture and richness of the generated waste... The pressure put under those who don't find a place to float to the top (where those with means don't think too often of their luck and the consequences of their actions) and with it they're left to keep on sinking.

The future of dystopian tales seen in those sci-fi best novels and films of all times is not a figment of improbable imagination anymore...
