I love PBJ's.
Especially with banana and cinnamon.
And a cappuccino.
I'm missing that last part, though.

I sold my Mark III.
Test-driving the 6-series BM...I mean, Canon.
It's okay.
Not great.
Image quality is on par with the 7D;
it's certainly no 5D,
but you can't expect that at 2/3 the price.
I will get a MKIII again.
It'll be my third.
I'm starting to feel like a pawn shop.

Awesome song :) I got a free download from Starbucks and fell in love. In the words of my friend, from tonight's (hilarious, as always) conversation, we're so confident about [everything] yet so damn unsure of that heart thing. My good friend re-deployed to Afghanistan this past weekend. I'm so glad I got to see him again! This is his robot tattoo, which I love! :D He drew it himself.

He's a hero. I know he'd laugh at that (trust me), but he is. Please keep him + the rest of our troops in your thoughts. I want them all to return safe and sound.

This was the photo I wanted to "Dear Photograph" more than anything. I knew I had it, everyone in my family has it, because it's the last photo ever taken of my grandpa.

The day before he went to the hospital and never came back, I had randomly decided to photograph all my family members at our cottage. He was sitting on his bed reading a book, and I quickly snapped this.

I discovered that I forgot to post it when Getty just selected one of us together. This is the only photo I've dear-photograph'ed that I took myself originally, and I took this almost exactly 15 years later.
Time flies like mad.

I've wanted to do dearphotograph-style stuff ever since I discovered the website. It's not a new concept, but it puts people together from all over the world and shows we're all the same. We all have photos and memories, and it's awesome to see them from other people and time periods. Someone bet me that I was sentimental the other day… I think I may have just lost that. Shh..

:) Anyway, this is a pretty personal one. It's my grandpapa. Amazing musician (he's the one that played jazz here), incredible husband, father, grandfather and man. We still have people to this day walk up to us and offer their condolences in the Czech Rep. Which brings me to this - a few days ago, it was 15 years since he passed. I will never forget that day. If there's anyone in the entire world I could ever wish for 24 more hours with, it would be him. When you're that young, you don't think of asking questions about what it was like getting interrogated by Soviet soldiers while walking to school as a little boy, being sent off on a train at 4am every morning with only a slice of bread, working a day job and playing jazz gigs at night to support his family… etc. My respect is endless.

Rest in Peace. I miss you.
