Blueberry cinnamon honey oatmeal :) I love bursting the blueberries and mixing them in because then it tastes almost like my mom's bublanina.

So I was on Skype with my best friend, and she ate a peanut butter jelly sandwich - RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! Had the shop not already been closed, I would have gone right then and there. Instead, I went first thing in the morning. It's made with whole wheat bread from a local bakery, organic peanut butter, strawberry jam with fresh fruit chunks (well..), and banana. Then it was subjected to an avalanche of cinnamon [see comments], my specialty. :b

Give me peanut butter and I turn into David Copperfield. It's bad. But so, so good.

Hope you all have a lovely Tuesday! I finally started Semester 2, and so far, so good. I even saw the sun for a hot second. Miracle! ;)

A little story for Monday morning: A few weeks back, I was talking to my dad about where I want to go after I finish my MSc. I didn't come to the UK just to do my master's, I was slightly more focused on figuring out what continent I belong on [Europe, close to my family, or the US with my friends and parents]. I realized quite quickly this time, and to my huge surprise, that I belong in America. My dad responded saying, "Yup. You're an American just like me." Funny, coming from someone not born there, but I guess that's what you have to love about the USA. It's a country you can come to and make your own -- if you bust your butt -- and it works. It's what I call home without a doubt in my mind now. :)

Side note: I found these goofy shorts at TopShop and was immediately inspired for a photo haha.

Although I didn't get to enjoy my mom's amazing turkey - for the third year in a row!! :( - I'm very thankful for my life and my amazing family and friends.

What I'm most thankful for is this email from my dad which popped into my inbox around 2am UK-time last week. All it said was: "Little on the sad side, my first day ever with 0 cigarettes. Since I was 16."
That means more to me than the world. Since I was three years old, I would make giant no smoking signs and plaster them all around the house every Sunday morning. He's tried to quit a few times, but it never worked out. This is so awesome. I was super smiley and bouncy the whole next day. I keep thinking about it. I'm so proud of him :D ♥ ♥

Hope everyone is having a fantastic + happy Thanksgiving weekend!! :) Lots of food, family, friends, laughs, fun .. enjoy!! :D
