The grade 2 listed former Union / ABC / Studio Cinema in Dunstable opened in 1937 and was designed by Leslie H Kemp. It has latterly been used as a nightclub, but this closed early in 2009. There are currently proposals from a church to buy and restore the building to its former glory.

The former Union Cinema in Dunstable - left intact as an EMI bingo hall in this shot, the building was later a nightclub and has recently been restored as the Dunstable Conference Centre with a 1,000 seat auditorium. The intention is attract conference, concerts, weddings and events to the stalls and balcony auditorium.

Grove Theatre Dunstable.The Grove Theatre opened in March 2008 and was designed by Glenn Howell Architects, with building work entrusted to SDC Construction. It has beautiful setting in the town centre Grove Park.

Grove Theatre Dunstable. The theatre seats 780 including the single balcony. Sightlines are good throughout with no obstructing pillars.

Grove Theatre Dunstable. The horseshoe shaped auditorium has a double tier of side boxes, stepped down towards the front.

Grove Theatre Dunstable. The Grove has a wide unstressed proscenium stage and is very well equipped, and with a particularly good get in. It has a full fly tower and is also digitally equipped for film, with one of the largest screens in the area.

The Grove Theatre in Dunstable opened in 2007 and seats 780 people.
