Valentine's gift from dh. I've been making textured overlays and try them on everything, but they don't look good on the rose, the smooth white in the above shot looks best. Below is the original.

I bought this small bar of Dove chocolate specifically for this challenge with the intention of shooting it when we got home, but try as I could, my addiction got the better of me. One small bite led to another and this is all I have to show for it! :(

I was taking a pic of these vintage patterns for a layout, and am posting as my daily dose since my photo inspiration is a little down! These are a few of the things I sewed and wore through the years. I made the black slinky by Pauline Trigere in 1957.

Normally a summer dish but I had all the ingredients on hand.

Fruity Curry Chicken Salad

In a large bowl combine chicken, celery, onion, apple, raisins, grapes, walnuts, pepper, curry powder and mayonnaise - whatever you have on hand. Mix all together and let flavors marinate a few hours, even better if served the next day!

Serve in rich croissants if you aren't watching diets - we chose pita rolls and a drink of wine and orange juice mix.

Salmon with a red wine vinaigrette glaze. No added fats, sugar or salt, Half the fish will be saved for my tomorrow's lunch. If I don't put it on my plate dh will eat the whole lot in one go!

I was playing around with texture using the highly decorated jewelry box against the needlepoint. By this point I have to admit texture is a big thing with me!

My favorite lounging area!
Our couch by Haute House is called Bohemian Frump - Just like me. lol! We throw the pillows on the floor when sitting. I'm turning in the trees for wall decoration as soon as I paint the wall - it was going to be gold, but I'm not sure - Any color suggestions? Couch is a little duller than shown here so I would like to brighten things up. ~ Chris
