After a few light coats of watered down black acrylic did another round of filing and sanding to get the model as smooth as possible. I painted 2 more light coats of black then dry brushed with silver. An additional coat or two of very watered down acrylic was applied in between the raised strips give a further sense of depth to the piece.

Custom drop leg panel. A very rough draft put together very crudely. The end product didn't turn out too bad, I just need better materials. The fabric I used is actually a strip from and old black book bag, one side looks woven and the other side almost looks like rubber.

Group shot of some of the custom parts I made. Scabbard for the sword. Chest rig and drop leg panel for the 21C molded pouches. New visor.

I used a this piece of styrene plastic to us as a guide to make sure the strips were perfectly parallel

After the 4 strips were glued on, I trimmed the excess then filed and sanded the edges.

My second attempt at one of Snake Eyes' more iconic pieces of gear. I was really intent on adding more depth and texture on this piece. Started out same as before and also cut out 4 thin strips of plastic to replicate the "grill"
