My favorite film shot to date. Shot with a Hasselblad CXI on Kodak TMax 400 for 5 seconds at F2.8, processed with Ilford DD-X developer, printed on Ilford warmtone with a Besseler 23c enlarger. I've been really struggling with geting good tonality and finally nailed it with this one I think.

FINALLY I got around to printing the B&W prints from the session with Noah and his Mother. I'm going up there and wanted to have something to show. Look at the depth from this camera. I love it. This is actually a very good comparison to the digital verson further back in my stream.

This set works so well both as film and digital. Look at the depth in these prints. Granted it's a digitized "picture of a picture" but still...

The film version of the feet. It was hard to get back far enough to capture this with a normal lens (90mm) on the RB67.

My goal was to get the view of the Capitol Building, Washington Monument, and the Lincoln Memorial. You can barely make out the tall Washington Monument sticking up in the bottom of the frame.

My version of the Capitol from a quart sized paint can pinhole camera on 120 roll film cut to fit in the lid. There's nothing to tell if the film inside the camera is level, nor is there a viewfinder on the paint can. I guess that just adds to the fun!

Noah wanted to see a waterfall while he was with me. I love shooting pictures of waterfalls. Naturally I'd shoot a picture of him at a waterfall.

I was very gratified to get images on the first try. The paint cans dont have a viewfinder, so it was extra hard to aim. We (I take full responsibility) aimed about twice as high as we should have!

Noah and I made pinhole cameras out of paint cans. He was perplexed at how we could MAKE a camera, and I'm not sure how much of the process actually clicked, but I think it was a fun process for him to be a part of. This is his picture of the Capitol. I opened the shutter a second time because I thought his arm was in the way. That caused some ghosting. Otherwise I think this shot is a great first attempt at a homemade pinhole!

These are the first shots I took with the concept of the Zone System. I havent run the tests to determine the true film speed or development time. I need a little more practice for sure.

This is the same as before with a contrast reducing filter during printing. I like this a lot better. Much softer and pleasing.
