Another not so relaxing weekend of photography. This time Jeff and I hit up Heart Lake. We were greeted by a noisy frog, a lot of wind and this fantastic view.

Before heading over to EC to crash on Jeff's couch for a few hours before setting off for Tahoe, I stopped in the city to capture some blue hour. Being out on Pier 14 on a Saturday night reminded me why I get up so early to shoot. People everywhere!

Jeff and I made an f/it trip to Tahoe this morning. Pretty typical. Ridiculous departure time, donuts, cold weather and warm light. Some clouds even showed up. I'm calling it a win.

I was out at Grizzly Peak last Friday fighting the heat waves my tele was picking up. Crazy what you can see at 400mm! Anyway, the trees below me were catching some nice light as the sun was setting, so I took a picture to share with the photo nerds of the world. I'm pretty sure if there were trees in San Francisco they'd be orange and black. Since these are East Bay trees they're green and gold.

A winter pano of Hollywood's go to location for pretty much everything that needs to look like a desert with nice mountains in the background. Plus it's 10 minutes from pancakes. Can't lose.

I'm trying to shift my focus back to seascapes while I still have some time. Here's my first seascape attempt in awhile. As the light got better the waves caused more of a problem for me. As usual I left wet.

Say that 5 times fast. Spend too much time on the Embarcadero and you too might decide it's a good idea to go jogging in a button down dress shirt and sweat pants.

This morning I woke up at 4:50 to complete cloud cover. Bah! We had already decided to go out, so off we went. Worst case, we get fresh donuts on the way home. You could say it was a do or donut situation. Important: That's an inclusive or. About an hour later after finding nothing worth shooting we began to head back home. The sky took that as it's cue to start being awesome. I took some photos, ate some donuts and then took a nap.
