Worse yet, they were from the exact same set. Upon buying more copies of these sets on clearance ($4!!!) it became clear there were many of both versions.

This was fresh from the box, totally factory sealed, looking like it had been dragged across a stockroom floor due to it's scuffs and scrapes... and what looked like machine oil and or dirt.

I repeat, the box was minty-mint, hot off the shelves.
