Taken in May when I spent a very interesting afternoon with Benoît on a private visit of the houses of two sculptors in the outskirts of Paris. This was at the house of Philolaos we also met him and his wife during the tour ... and I have just found by doing this search that he died two weeks ago. My condolences to his wife especially and his family.

Everything in this house/workshop and in the gardens has artistic merit. And I read that indeed he found that his house was his greatest work of art.

J'ai passé un après midi intéressant et surprenant avec Benoît à effectuer une visite privée des ateliers de deux artistes des Yvelines ... cette image vient de la maison de Philolaos ... nous lui avons rencontré avec sa femme pendant le tour.Je viens de lire et faisant les recherches pour cette image que Philolaos est mort il y a 2 semaines. Mes condoléances à sa famille et surtout sa femme.

J'ai trouvé que sa maison (dessiné par lui-même), tout ce qui était dedans et les jardins étaient beaux et intéressants. Je viens de lire qu'il considérait sa maison son plus grand oeuvre d'art.

So on Saturday morning my sister and friend start on their 400km/250 mile bike ride to raise money for the Sheffield Institute researching the causes and cures of Alzheimer's and Motor Neurone Disease, in memory of our dad who died from these diseases in July.

Follow us on the blog and if you feel like donating towards this worthy cause we'd be very happy!

(I'll be the photographer, blogger and bag carrier then ....)

Samedi matin ma soeur et notre amie commencent leur course à vélo de 400km pour collectionner des fonds pour aider dans le recherche contre les maladies d'Alzheimer et Charcot en mémoire de notre papa qui est mort de ces maladies début juillet.
