Foto de la tormenta eléctrica que precedió al pequeño diluvio del viernes 13 de agosto.

21 de junio: Ahora que la he visto muchas veces, la foto debió llamarse "La Bailarina", porque el rayo y la nube que atraviesa parecen una bailarina de ballet muy delgada con sus faldillas. Anora que no sé que habría dicho Freud de eso.

June 21st: Now that I´ve seen the picture, I should have named it "Ballerina", because the lightning an the cloud it goes through look like a very slender one. I don´t know what Freud would have said about that.

Anoche venía una tormenta que prometía estar de miedo. Normalmente la mayor parte de las fotos que tomo intentando capturar un rayo vienen vacías. En esta ocasión fué al revés. Y todos los rayos se veían impresionantes. Me tocó ver cómo el sitio donde cayó uno, muy lejos, siguió brillando durante unos instantes después de que el resplandor del rayo se había apagado. Daba miedo. Al final, no llegó la tormenta a el norte de Hermosillo.

Last night I saw this storm approaching. When I try to capture a lightning, most of the photographs come empty. This time it was all the contrary. And most of the lightnings were impresive. I saw the site where one hit the ground, far away, still glooming instants after the brightness of the lightning had been gone. Finally, the storm did not reach Hermosillo.
