The simple and charming interior of the chapel in the pictures bellow. Very beautiful! Its a well preserved private chapel. I had no idea the place was private, the chapel is big like a small church and the gate was opened, then I enter and started to photograph. After few minutes an authoritarian woman came and gave me an earful... But later everything be well, we became friends and she opened the chapel to me. :-)

The interesting old organ of the charming chapel in the pictures bellow. Very nice! Its a well preserved private chapel. I had no idea the place was private, the chapel is big like a small church and the gate was opened, then I enter and started to photograph. Candelária Church was constructed by a rich business man that was coming with his family to Brazil and faced a big storm on the way. Then he made a promise... If he and his family survived, he would raise a church in gratitude in the place where the ship docked. And so he did. With the centuries it was being increased and improved to its actual appearance. Despiste the simple exterior, it is very, very rich inside, and maybe because of this it scaped from the big demolition that had in this part of the city decades ago to construct large avenues and destroyed many architecture jewels...
