Each Custer State Buffalo roundup has the US Flag and the South Dakota State Flag carried by riders. The South Dakota Flag was not visible in this image as it was just a bit behind. Normally they rode together. I do not know the significance of the red bunting on the arms of two of the cowboys.

Lioness (Panthera leo) carrying one of her four cubs while another trundles along behind. She constantly checked on the whereabouts of her cubs as they followed her from Kgalagadi waterhole back to their lair.

Bat-eared Fox transfixed on the spot on the ground under which the noise of an insect is coming from. These guys have uncanny radar/sonar/whatever in determining exactly where a morsel might be underground. (Otocyon megalotis)

Sunrise behing thee Elephant in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia. I placed the sun in the tree on purpose so it would not produce lens flare.

This Black-backed Jackal would hide on the other side of the water trough, then run and leap over the trough hoping to catch a Dove just taking off. The Doves were in the trough drinking.

At the time we landed, it was also the time when Antarctic Fur Seals gathered to mate. The closer to the water a male was, the higher in rank or pecking order was his attained status. Here is one such "beachmaster" who has cornered a female with her terribly young pup. She is protesting the situation.
