Part of a series that I started years ago. I found that in darkness, you can lock the shutter open, and paint an image with a red laser. Apply a high contrast filter, and you end up with an interesting effect of light, shadow and dimension as the small bright dot "paints" lines over a form.

I have a small LED light that adjusts it's brightness output by blinking very rapidly (faster than the human eye can see). You can see the effect however when rapidly moving the light. In the end the glow combined with the rapid pass of the light in front of the camera, made for an interesting shot.
