spoke sniffer posted a photo:

Yes, I’m afraid it’s time to close the doors. When this stream started thousands of pictures were up on ebay each week temporarily documenting the sale of some fabulous cycling relic and then finding their way into a cyber dump at the end of the week. Archiving them was a natural outcome of watching one of kind items come and go and knowing that an image may possibly be lost forever unless it was captured. But now it seems that photos are archived so many locations that there is no clean way to know if the image will fly off into the ether when the sale ends or will live happily on in the sellers or buyers image stream or blog. Add to that the fact that there are now multiple people doing what I do and still others reposting images I have stored and the whole thing becomes muddy and sometimes contentious. So rather than contend with the increasing ire that runs counter to the intent of shared knowledge and shared pleasure we will pack it in. It’s been fun. See you at the flea market.
