"2006年我參加第二屆東南亞詩人大會時，為一些詩友拍照，當時也為雲鶴先生拍了人頭照。想不到隔年召開另次大會時，雲鶴兄發給大家的名片上，竟然用上了我為他所拍攝的照片，令我大感意外。我問他怎麼不用他自拍的照片？他說：「攝影的人總會設法把別人最美的一面拍出來，但拍攝自己時卻永遠都覺得有很多缺陷，找不到最好的角度……還是你拍的這張表情自然，我喜歡。」如今這張名片已經成了我們之間交往的珍貴信物" - 郭永秀, 悼念雲鶴

熊貓？貓熊？

　　熊貓否？貓熊否？
　　大陸贈送台灣兩頭大熊貓，據說台灣接受保養的動物園，為名稱也引起一些爭論。
　　如果問我，我的看法是一個新詞，一般前面是形容詞，後面是主體。鄧老伯所說的「黑貓、白貓」，當然是黑色的貓與白色的貓，總不能叫「貓黑」、「貓白」吧！
　　這畜生應屬「熊」，但卻生得溫順若「貓」，正確的詞應該是「貓熊」。但大陸習慣上叫「熊貓」，少數服從多數，即使要改變，也須費盡九牛二虎之力。反正，名稱只是一種記認，據有心人統計，目前我們每人從身份證、社保、銀行卡、信用卡……等等等等，都以一堆號碼來辨識，有朝一日，廢除名稱而代以一堆號碼，並不是不可能的事。
　　所以，不求甚通與不求甚解，應該是作為一個善於欣賞處世的普通人應有的態度，除非是生物學家。但生物學家卻以AILUROPODA MELANOLEUCA稱呼一般的「大熊貓」（還有一種同類的畜生叫「小熊貓」）而不會理牠應稱為「熊貓」還是「貓熊」。
　　今年四月與內人作成都、廣漢遊。在成都時，導遊安排了得到「聯合國環保全球五百佳獎」的「中國成都大熊貓繁育研究基地」參觀。
　　我原以為這僅是一個研究中心，殊不知佔地甚廣，面積達一百公頃之廣，有山有水且有叢林，其中有關大熊貓的研究設施，除「研究中心」外，尚有「熊貓醫院」、「熊貓廚房」、，熊貓產房」、「熊貓劇場」、「熊貓別墅」、「熊貓活動場」等等。半日遊大概僅走了三份之一強，但每次都是匆匆一瞥，有時僅僅看到牠的背影。
　　這次算是開足眼界，幾十頭大熊貓讓我選角度拍玉照。於是趕緊取出不經常用的200mm長焦鏡，卡察卡察拍個不停。現取出其中較為滿意的一頭與讀者共享（見上圖）。

Dear Friends,

I may not know you personally, but your prayers are needed at this moment.

The mountain is too high for me to climb; as various problems seem like the non-stop downpour of the rain right now;

The most painful part is, my father who is a healthy active person about a month a go fell ill because a some "doctor" without sufficient proof had over prescribed TB medicine -- causing damage to the liver and now spreading to the kidneys -- he is in the ICU right now; because of the chest high floods in the streets, I could not even go there; I feel so helpless so useless...... at a loss of words.....

Hope and Pray.......
