Sunset at Castle Stalker near Appin. The scenic setting of Castle Stalker, we sat for a while waiting to see what sunset would bring, a few hints of colour, a long exposure helping to bring out a bit more colour. Raw file processed in lighroom, white balance increased to give a bit more warmth. I had to clone out a couple of bits of dodgy seaweed that looked like a couple of floating turds:).

Buachaille Etive Mor Bothy. For those that follow my work they will know that for the past 3 years i have been going to Glencoe on photography trips, normally whenever i go its always wet, cold and windy. Everytime i am in Glencoe top of my list is Buachaille Etive Mor, and this is a comp i have spent the last 3 years waiting to get the right conditions. We decided to get out early before breakfast to be met with the perfect conditions, snow, ice, frost and blue skies. I normally don't get off on blue skies but this worked so well. I managed to get a couple of different shots so i am more than pleased. You always know you have a good shot when you open the raw file and don't need to do anything to it.

Rannoch Moor, taken on my way to Glencoe back in November last year. I have driven through Rannoch Moor so many times over the past couple of years but never there when the conditions were right for a shot.I have posted a couple of other shots from this trip but i wanted to try and get a bit of ice into the shot so went with a portrait version

On my last trip to Glen Etive back at the start of November i took a shot of a stag which amazed me as to how close i got to the beautiful stag. So on this trip i wanted to go back and hopefully get to show Suzanne one of the best sights this place has to offer. We were not to be disappointed, as this time we saw perhaps 40 or 50 deer, which included maybe 20 stag. This beautiful stag was one of a group of 5 or 6 that stood one a few feet from us, a day to remember in a very special place

Buachaille Etive Mor, the big pointy mountain. Everyone that follows my photography will know that when i head to Glencoe i will always stop and take a shot of Buachaille Etive Mor.This shot i decided to use the gorge under the bridge as my focal point.

Loch Achtriochtan, Glencoe, Scotland. One of my fave locations, always good for light and reflections.

This was a hard one to get the grads to work properly, the light mostly coming down on the left, with most of the right in dark, thank god for those Lee's;)

Loch Na h-Achlaise, looking towards Rannoch Moor and the snow capped Black Mount range in the distance. I have passed by this iconic spot so many time always at the wrong time of day or with bad weather. This time the light and conditions worked out so well for me.

The River Coe falls looking towards the imposing Aonach Dubh bathed in sunlight, this was as good as the light got on my trip north. This was to be another wet Glencoe trip, i should be getting used to that now.
