This was taken on Sunday evening, sitting in the house i could tell the sky and clouds were building into something that might produce. I grabbed my gear and set of in search of a location. I headed on the A6 for a few miles and as sunset started to produce, i just had to stop..this is the result.

The Wickerman wearing some big jubilee shorts in celebration. This morning i did a shoot i have been planning for the past 3 weeks. I was up and out before 3am this morning. This is the wickerman that sits at the entrance to the Wickerman Festival near Kirkcudbright all year round. If anyone is unsure how big. he is about 30ft tall. The wickerman they burn at the festival is a whole lot bigger.

Blea Tarn, a beautiful misty morning, so peaceful and calm. I made a very early start today, up at the strange hour of 4am to head into the Lake District. I knew there wouldn't be a special sunrise, but the thought of a mist covered Blea Tarn was too good to miss. This was as colourful as the sunrise got, a warm diffused glow through the mist. A simple shot, no filters used.
