I set up the camera for some interval shoots while I was hanging wrenches. These are the metric wrenches that I am hanging. I started with by using a piece of blue painters tape, straight edge, and level to mark off a reference line for the top of the wrenches. I also used a 3/8" dowel rod, and builders square to get the spacing between the wrenches even. Towards the end, I ended up removing, and replacing several screws with larger and longer screws. I have two wrenches for nearly all the sizes, so I also backed out the screws to hang the the second wrench.

Seditious Canary posted a photo:

Got the help I needed to move the workbench into place. Turns out measuring things, and marking them so you have a point of reference when moving something big and heavy makes things go a lot more smoothly. I measured the offset from the edge of the workbench top, to the mounting holes for their screws on the base, marked the offset on the tool board, eased the workbench without the top into place, then bolted the workbench top (it weights better than 80 pounds) on.

The workbench itself is a Craftsman which I had trimmed the top down to fit a previous work space. I flush mounted t-nuts to fasten the MDF top to the bench frame using 6 each 1/4"x20 bolts so I can remove the workbench top without worrying about the MDF getting stripped out. I assembled the workbench top from the stock 1.25" MDF top which came with the bench, and high school chemistry lab countertop I got from Second Use using a tube of Silicon caulk.

The Wilton bench vice is mounted with 1/2"x13 stainless bolts and t-nuts. This was the part which I was the most concerned about mounting correctly. I used 14mm diamond hole saws to drill through the lab top. The holes for the lab top and the MDF came out dead on with the bench vice base. I made a footprint out of 3/4" plywood to protect the lab top from the vice and added a few coats of shellac to before bolting the whole thing down (25 foot pounds of torque per bolts).

Here you can see the French cleat-tool board interaction, and how it is held in place by the top from the workbench.
Test fitting the final cut out for light switch access, HVAC vent, and whatever that protrusion is next to the vent. The whole setup is hung using a pair of French cleats. The tool board mounted side of the French cleats are both glued and screwed to the tool board using Titebond Original Wood Glue and five #10 - 5/8" wood screws. The wall mounted side of the French cleats are screwed to the wall using five #10 - 2" wood screws, and molly bolts.
